Crepes & Buttermilk Syrup

This part of the recipe from All Recipes

serves 4
Ingredients:
1 c all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 c milk
1/2 c water
1/4 t salt
2 T butter, melted

Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.

2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.

3. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve hot.

And this part from my friend, Karen...

Ingredients:
1/2 c butter (the real stuff)
1 c sugar
3/4 c buttermilk
2 T light corn syrup
1 t vanilla
1/2 t baking soda

Directions:
Combine butter, sugar, buttermilk, & syrup in a pan and bring to boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Add vanilla and stir. Turn off heat and add soda. Stir quickly. The syrup will foam up. Let rest 5 mins, stir and serve.

Put crepes on plate and top with sliced banana & syrup. Yum!
